Everything you need to know before visiting this stunning Dominican destination

Jarabacoa is located in the province of La Vega, in the heart of the Central Mountain Range of the Dominican Republic. It sits approximately 530 meters above sea level, giving it a cool climate throughout the year, with temperatures generally ranging between 16°C and 28°C (61°F–82°F).

The name Jarabacoa comes from the Taíno language and means “Place of Waters” or “Land of Springs,” a reference to the enormous number of rivers and streams that flow throughout the region.
